
Ontario Crane Training School - We provide industry relevant programs in our crane training school. The course will provide our trainees with learning outcomes matching the existing industry demands. Our small class sizes combine theory and hand-on experience. Our qualified, industry-experienced instructors provide real world know-how to help trainees to get valuable knowledge and skills in their selected field.
Theory Programs
The crane training school features a strong grounding in theory related to power-line safety, regulations, inspection and site hazards involved in crane operation. Trainees would gain understanding about rigging, hardware applications and load charts. Direct feedback and quizzes throughout the course would assist trainees solidify their knowledge.
Theory course topics: Introduction to crane certification process; safety fundamentals for crane operators; crane operation knowledge; rigging knowledge; load chart knowledge; crane rigging charts; communications knowledge; crane pre-trip inspections & set-up, and crane maintenance and service.
Practical Programs
The crane training school consists of practical training involving hands-on learning. This component teaches trainees how to identify crane components and terminology. Trainees would have the chance to perform skills needed for crane signaling, rigging and operating.
The topics covered in the practical part consists of: Learn crane terms; identify crane functions and components; use remote control; identify wire ropes and rigging; identify regulations and documents for rigging and wire rope; pre-use inspection on crane; utilize hand signals and radio; perform right lifting and lowering of loads and perform rigging methods.
