
Ontario Manlift Operator Certification - Our aerial lift and scissor platform certification and training empowers those participating with a general understanding and knowledge of the safe and efficient use of "Power Operated Mobile Work Platforms," under all of the existing regulations in the industry. Upon successfully completing the training, the participants will be able to understand and recognize certain safety and health related dangers associated with operating scissor and aerial lifts.
There are various affiliated locations within your area providing Manlift Operator Certification Programs. Trainees are provided with in-depth instruction on safe operation and regulations along with extensive hands-on training. The knowledge and skill level of each individual training is evaluated and people who could demonstrate an acceptable level of operational ability would receive employee documentation and Operator Certification cards.
Theory Training
The trainer will help the trainee through a review of the theory training utilizing several visual aids. The trainee will work out of a manual that covers all the necessary rules. Other topics like for instance safe operating measures, different equipment types including different sizes and associated applications, general work place safety and pre-use checks are individually explored.
Theory Evaluation
The evaluation of the theory parts begins with a written exam, that focuses on the course concepts which was included in the reference instruction manual. Exams are graded and returned to the trainee. The tests are then reviewed to ensure understanding and a score of at least 70 percent is required so as to pass this part of the training.
Practical Training
The hands-on part of the course is included in the practical training. Here, trainees are shown the safe operating procedures, the shutdown and parking measures and the pre-use inspection procedures. Each trainee has the chance to operate the equipment and practice the skills they learned in Theory Training under the helpful eye of the program trainer in a setting that is safety controlled.
Practical Evaluation
The Practical Evaluation is where the ones training are assessed to assure they have reached a minimum level of skill. The ones training are then assessed on an individual basis using the machinery in a reasonably difficult course environment. As soon as the evaluation is complete, the trainees are de-briefed and given the opportunity to address whatever problems they may have regarding whichever part of the program. Every employer of a successful trainee will be sent the official records and documents immediately after the program has been completed.
